Topline:

The Los Angeles Dodgers came back Friday night, beating the Toronto Blue Jays 3-1 on their home turf to extend the World Series to the deciding Game 7.

Where do things stand? The Dodgers and Blue Jays — now tied at 3-3 — will face off for the title at 5 p.m. Saturday in Toronto as L.A. tries to defend its championship.

What happened in Game 6: Dodger Mookie Betts had a big night, hitting a two-run single in the third inning, and Yoshinobu Yamamoto held the Jays at bay from the mound. The Jays couldn't recover.

Speaking frankly, the amount of reader support we receive will help determine how strong of a newsroom we are going forward to cover the important news in our community.
