Reminder: Fundraiser for The Must is Tonight
Just a reminder that tonight is the night to head Downtown to show your support for the folks who ran and worked at The Must, the wine bar that found themselves the subject of a bizarre and surprising eviction over the 4th of July long weekend.
From 7-11 p.m. at the Farmers & Merchants Bank [map] enjoy an open wine and beer bar, music from local DJs spinning, and the camaraderie of community. It's a $20 donation at the door, and all the monies raised will go to help the ousted staff in hopes of recouping their lost wages.
While The Must has received offers of new DTLA spaces to rent to re-open shop, they're focusing right now on the legal efforts to untangle the landlord-lease-owner mess. Another roadblock is the status of their beverage stock; once removed from the premises, it's not known if it has been handled or stored properly.
