Flight Simulator Offers Team-Building Crash Course

Listen 0:00

RENEE MONTAGNE, host:

Our last word in business today is crash course. Britain's Sunday Times reports on a new team-building exercise. Companies of all kinds are sending workers to Heathrow Airport to, quote, take off in a flight simulator. The cabin goes dark, the plane nose dives, and passengers have to flee the smoky cabin. Demand has risen since a U.S. Airways flight landed in the Hudson River last month in a sort of spectacular, heroic moment. Experiencing a plane crash is supposed to help strengthen employee bonds.
