Results for top LA County municipal elections, and where to get more

Cities are reporting the unofficial results of Tuesday's Los Angeles County municipal elections where mayorships, city council seats and local issues were on the ballot.
We've rounded up the latest numbers for several of the bigger races, along with information on where you can see more results.

Whittier
Whittier residents elected a new mayor, Joe Vinatieri, defeating a fellow councilman, Owen Newcomer, and businessman Nick Donovan. This year's election is the first since the town voted to move to district-based elections, an effort advocates hoped will better represent the city's large Latino population. Josue Alvarado won the city council seat in heavily Latino District 1.

Long Beach
Long Beach held elections for three City Council seats. Voter turnout was 11.5 percent. Top vote-getters are: Jeannine Pearce, District 2; Dee Andrews, District 6; and Al Austin II, District 8. The Long Beach Post has a rundown of the candidates and several stories on charges of misleading campaign information that has tarnished a couple of the council races.
Voters also elected new members of the Long Beach Community College District Board of Trustees and two school board members.

Arcadia
Voters rejected Measure A, a ballot initiative calling for the repeal of the city's Utility Users Tax. Semi-official results show 4,910 "no" votes cast against 2,735 "yes" votes. Opponents feared the loss of revenue could lead to cuts in city services and policing.

Arcadia’s two vacant council seats were filled by Peter Amundson, who won with 3,634 votes, followed by April Verlato, who won with 3,609 votes. Amundson is a long-time resident and former city council member; Verlato is a personal injury attorney.
Verlato’s win especially is a victory for anti-mansionization activists, who have been trying to stop the replacement of older ranch-style homes with very large ones. Verlato was a proponent of a ballot initiative that aimed to limit home sizes; the initiative failed to make the November ballot after the City Clerk’s office recently found paperwork errors.
The City Council is to vote on its own ordinance that would limit home sizes next week.
Deputy city clerk Carrie Gallagher said that ballots are still coming in by mail until Friday. A final vote count is set for April 21. For further results, go to the City of Arcadia's website.
Culver City
Voters chose three members for City Council. Meghan Sahli-Wells, Thomas Aujero Small and Goran Eriksson drew the most votes, according to the latest unofficial results. Voter turnout for Culver City was 16.2 percent based on ballots counted Tuesday night, according to City Clerk and Assistant City Manager Martin Cole.
That appears to be an uptick from the last local election where 14.3 percent of voters cast ballots. Cole said final ballot count results are expected by April 21. Ahead of the election, Culver City officials launched a voting mascot to try and boost voter turnout.
