Update: 1 lane opens after fiery collision on 405 (map)
Update 4:00 p.m.: The No. 2 northbound lane at Ventura Boulevard on the 405 is now open after a fiery crash that injured two Wednesday afternoon.

The carpool and No. 1 lanes remain closed.
Previously: Los Angeles firefighters responded to a traffic collision on the 405 Freeway in Sherman Oaks that left one car in flames and possibly one officer injured Wednesday afternoon, reports Los Angeles County Fire Department.
The collision happened around 1:45 p.m. Wednesday. Three lanes including the carpool, No. 1 and No. 2 lanes on the northbound side of the freeway at Ventura Boulevard were blocked, according to the California Highway Patrol.
