SoCal's weekend weather forecast: Cool temps, a break from heavy El Niño rain
Get ready for sweater weather this weekend.

This weekend won’t be as wet as the first week of 2016, but bundle up anyway: Temperatures will dip below normal.
Highs will be in the upper 50s and lows in the mid-40s. And although Southern California won't see the amount of rain El Niño brought earlier this week, there’s a chance it will drizzle through Saturday night.
“We expect most of the rain to stay north of Point Conception but we could still see some rain showers,” Emily Thornton at the National Weather Service told KPCC. “Most areas will probably get like a tenth of an inch, if anything.”
Showers could linger into Sunday morning but most areas only have a 10 to 20 percent chance of rain, according to the agency’s forecast.
A weak system moving through could bring another round of rain Monday. Rain is also possible Wednesday, though it's uncertain at this point.
