Schools chief wants more bilingual grads, teachers by 2030
State schools superintendent Tom Torlakson rolled out several goals Wednesday aimed at ensuring more students leave California schools bilingual in future years. He called for tripling the number of high schoolers who graduate with a "Seal of Biliteracy" and quadrupling the number of dual language immersion programs by 2030.
