San Bernardino County DA seeks criminal injunction against Rialto gang
San Bernardino County authorities are seeking an injunction to rein in street gang with roots in two of the Southland’s most notorious gangs.
Former rivals from the Crips and the Bloods formed the Hustla Squad Clicc five years ago. San Bernardino County authorities say the factions united for the common goal of monopolizing drug and weapons sales in a four square-mile area of west-central Rialto.
The gang injunction seeks to limit movement and activity of more than 100 documented gang members – including 27 juveniles. Hustla Squad members caught loitering, wearing gang insignia or flashing signs are subject to arrest.
A Hustla Squad member was convicted of shooting and killing a rival gang member in a Rialto strip mall earlier this year. On Friday, police arrested 89 people – alleged gang members and affiliates, confiscated several firearms and seized what’s described as a significant amount of methamphetamine, marijuana and cocaine.
