Inland Empire RV firm looking to hire hundreds of new workers
At the height of the recession, several Inland Empire recreational vehicle manufacturers went belly up. But one RV maker in Moreno Valley, MVP RV, is growing, and hopes to hire hundreds of new workers. On Saturday in Riverside the company is hosting what will likely be the first of many job fairs.
MVP RV wants to hire nearly 100 experienced RV builders in its first round of hiring. It hopes to hire about 600 more in the months ahead.
It shouldn’t have much trouble. Workers with the right skills were pushed out of work last year when the new owners of bankrupt Fleetwood RV cruised out of the Inland Empire for a new home in Indiana. Two other big RV makers also ran out of gas and called it quits.
MVP bought two of Fleetwood’s old facilities for about 20 million bucks. Now it needs to get them back up to speed.

Hundreds of applicants are expected to swamp the MVP job fair. The company says only welders and assemblers with a few years of experience under their work belts need apply.
It’s also looking to fill some administrative positions.
