Rose Bowl Game 2016: What you can and can't bring inside the stadium
If you're headed to the Rose Bowl Stadium New Year's Day, you should be aware of its new clear bag policy.
You can see a breakdown of Rose Bowl sanctioned bag types here:
The Rose Bowl offers this written list of prohibited bags and other items and tailgating guidelines on its website. Notice the one exception. Diaper bags are on the NO list but if you're accompanied by a child, then it's OK.
Approved Bags
- 1 Gallon Plastic Freezer Bag
- Clutch with Shoulder Strap (clutch may not be larger than 4.5" X 6.5")
- Clutch with Wrist Strap (clutch may not be larger than 4.5" X 6.5")
- Diaper Bag, as long as accompanied by a child
Non-Approved Bags
- Backpacks
- Camera Case
- Mesh Bag
- Purse
- Clear Backpack
- Tinted Plastic Bag
- Oversized Tote Bag
- Printed Pattern Plastic Bag
- Fanny Pack
- Binoculars Case
The new policy is modeled off of the NFL's clear bag policy, said Karen Linhart, media director for the Rose Bowl Game. If you're in need of a clear bag, click here for a map of fan assistance and public tailgate locations where you can get one.
