Riding the wave: Surfers head to beaches as eight-foot breakers are forecast
With this week's heat-wave, you may be heading to the beach for some relief – but surfers are headed there for a very different reason. The National Weather Service has put out an advisory, warning of eight-foot waves on south-facing beaches. And that means that surfers from across the region are taking to the ocean.
