Report: LAUSD still not targeting enough funding toward high-needs kids
In the Los Angeles Unified School District, elementary schools are funded more equally than equitably, a report released Tuesday suggests. The analysis, released by a coalition of advocacy groups pushing the district to fund schools more progressively, finds L.A. Unified schools serving high-needs students in the largest numbers actually tend to get less funding per pupil than other, less-needy schools.
