Rain, hail possible in SoCal through Monday evening
Southern California can expect more rain Sunday evening with possible thunderstorms and hail, the National Weather Service said.
Meteorologist David Sweet told KPCC rains will continue intermittently throughout the afternoon and into Monday morning.
"It's going to be an interesting storm because we'll have periods when the weather will be rather quiet or sunny," he said. "And there will be other periods where clouds will increase and we'll have some scattered showers."
Scattered rainfall will continue off and on through Monday evening as another system makes its way into SoCal, Sweet said.
"This first system will continue through late tonight into early Monday morning, and it will be followed by another, very similar system that's going to race down the coast during the day Monday," he said.
That will mean possible sporadic showers all day Monday and into the evening. By Tuesday morning the National Weather Service expects storm activity will die down.
