Pedestrian fatally struck by LAPD bomb squad officer
An on-duty LAPD bomb squad officer fatally struck a pedestrian near the intersection of Culver Boulevard and West Jefferson Boulevard early Monday morning. The pedestrian died at the scene.
The collision occurred around midnight, LAPD officer Liliana Preciado told KPCC. A multi-disciplinary collision investigation team are investigating the incident as a traffic collision. Investigators say it was very foggy, so they're considering that and other factors.
"It's an intensive investigation," Preciado says.
