Officials Reaffirm Safety of Key Long Beach Bridge
The Gerald Desmond Bridge, which connects Terminal Island and Long Beach, is heavily traveled and similar to the one that collapsed Wednesday in Minnesota. There's a push to get federal funding to replace the Desmond Bridge, but Long Beach port officials say it's still safe.
