New shows at 9 pm: Bullseye, TED Radio Hour, Radiolab and The Moth
Southern California Public Radio (SCPR) will air a new lineup of shows at 9 p.m. starting Monday, including Bullseye, TED Radio Hour, Radiolab and The Moth.
The new programs replace "Tell Me More," which NPR chose to cancel this summer. SCPR will schedule a different one-hour show each night, bringing popular weekend programming to a weeknight audience.
"This mix gives listeners more of the material we know they crave," said Collin Campbell, SCPR's managing editor for broadcast. "These shows include some of the nation’s best science journalism; long-form interviews around fascinating ideas; great insights into fresh cultural figures; and highlight real people telling unforgettable stories."
Here is the new schedule for weeknights at 9 p.m.
| Day | Show |
|---|---|
| Monday | Bullseye |
| Tuesday | TED Radio Hour |
| Wednesday | Radiolab |
| Thursday | The Moth Radio Hour |
| Friday | Science Friday |
SCPR is not making changes to its weekend schedule. Shows that currently air on Saturday or Sunday will keep the same time slot.
This fall, two shows that air on weeknights will come to Southern California to perform for live audiences. Science Friday will perform August 27 at Caltech. Later this fall, Q with Jian Ghomeshi, which airs at 10 p.m. on SCPR, will record its show in L.A. for a live performance presented by KPCC.
