My Figueroa street revamp between DTLA and USC adds safety for walkers and bikers
The My Figueroa project has officially opened along four miles of the busy Figueroa Street between downtown L.A. and the USC/Exposition Park area, adding bike lanes, wider sidewalks, new crosswalks and landscaping.

My Figueroa street revamp between DTLA and USC adds safety for walkers and bikers
About $20 million and 10 years later, a revamped section of Figueroa Street is officially open.
The "MyFigueroa Streetscape Project" was designed to improve access and safety for walkers, bikers and transit users on a four-mile stretch of the roadway.
The redesigned area runs from 7th Street in the heart of downtown south to Exposition Park, covering short portions of 11th Street and Martin Luther King Boulevard.
The improvements include three miles of bikeway, portions of which are fully protected or buffered, wider sidewalks, high-visibility crosswalks, improved signal timing, landscaping, art and floating transit platforms.
