Montecito wildfire forces thousands to evacuate
A wildfire has destroyed at least 100 homes in Montecito, an upscale community east of Santa Barbara. Residents of more than 5,000 homes have been evacuated. One of those who had to leave was Bruce Lyon. He's the brother of AirTalk senior producer Linda Othenin Girard. He lives just west of Westmont College, where more than a dozen faculty homes and a few buildings were damaged or destroyed. Lyon spoke with KPCC's Morning Edition host Steve Julian about his experience.
