Liberty Fire is 60 percent contained, all evacuations lifted
The Liberty Fire started on Thursday afternoon and was holding at 300 acres Friday morning, with 60 percent containment. The fire destroyed at least one structure and six outbuildings, according to Murietta Fire and Rescue.

All evacuations have been lifted as firefighters continue to work to contain the Liberty Fire in Murrietta.
The fire, which started on Thursday afternoon, is holding at 300 acres and 60 percent contained, according to an 11:30 a.m. update. So far, it's destroyed at least one structure and six outbuildings, according to an update from the Murietta Fire and Rescue.
There have been no reported injuries.
Southern California Edison reported outages throughout Southern California, including approximately 50 customers who lost power as a result of the Liberty Fire, according to the Riverside County Fire Department.

On Friday, the federal government approved Gov. Jerry Brown's request for direct assistance to support firefighting efforts as at least six major wildfires raged across Southern California, including the Liberty Fire.
EVACUATIONS
All evacuations have been lifted, according to an 11:30 a.m. update from Murrieta Fire & Rescue.
Murrieta Mesa High School (24801 Monroe Ave.) was open as a "care and reception center" for 25 residents, but did not serve as an overnight shelter. It will close at 2 p.m., according to Murrieta Fire & Rescue.
Animal Friends of the Valley Shelter (33751 Mission Trail, Wildomar) is accepting animals.
Murrieta Equestrian Center (42670 Juniper St., Murietta) is accepting horses in trailers, though the corrals at the center are full.
SCHOOL CLOSURES
All Temecula Valley Unified School District schools will be closed Friday, according to an announcement from the district.

ROAD CLOSURES
Los Alamos Road, which had been closed, has been reopened as of 11:30 a.m.
AIR QUALITY
South Coast Air Quality Management District issued a smoke advisory on Thursday, effective through Friday morning. SCAQMD warns that the air quality could reach unhealthy levels, and recommends that anyone in portions of Lake Elsinore and Temecula Valley avoid "vigorous outdoor or indoor exertion."
