All-clear given at LAX following suspicious item evacuation

The ticketing area at Los Angeles International Airport's Terminal 1 was evacuated Tuesday afternoon after a report of a suspicious item in the terminal's screening area, according to a statement from Sgt. Belinda Nettles with the L.A. Airport Police. Police later gave the all-clear, CBS L.A. reports.
Airport Police responded to the report at about 3:45 p.m., according to Nettles. The screening checkpoint was temporarily closed.
The LAPD bomb squad was on the scene.
