LADWP Rolls Out A New Power Outage Messaging Service
During last July’s heat storm, parts of L.A. sustained lengthy power outages, along with a shortage of information about when they would end. Los Angeles Department of Water and Power is rolling out a new service intended to help.
In the past, LADWP has used social media to inform the public of outages. It posts an outage map online, too. People could also call in to ask when repairs would be completed.
LADWP customers can subscribe to get outage messages for up to three different neighborhoods by going online to their account at www.ladwp.com
