Here’s how you can help fire victims in California

Here’s how you can help fire victims in California
Firefighters are still getting a handle on the Thomas Fire, which has burned more than 900 homes in Ventura and Santa Barbara counties. Here in Los Angeles county, crews are in the final stages of containing the Creek, Rye and Skirball fires – those destroyed more than 70 homes.
Now, several local non profits are seeking donations to help the victims.
The United Way has set up the Thomas Fire Fund. To donate and learn more, click here.
The United Way also has a Southern California Wildfires Fund, for victims of the Creek, Rye and Skirball Fires. More info can be found here.
You can also donate to the Los Angeles Fire Department Foundation. Donations help fund equipment, outreach and youth programs. Click here for more information.
The Los Angeles County Animal Care Foundation has its own fund for supplies, training and equipment for first responders who rescue animals from areas impacted by natural disasters. More info is here.
The Red Cross has a fund to support California wildfire relief. Click here for details.
