Grauman's Chinese Theater to offer classic films for a quarter
A Hollywood institution is celebrating a big birthday, and Los Angeles gets a gift. To celebrate its 85th birthday, Grauman’s Chinese Theater is turning back the clock, and the cash register, introducing “25 Cent Movie Mondays.”
On four Mondays in April and May, you’ll be able to see different classic films that premiered at the Chinese Theater in years gone by, and it’ll only cost you a quarter.
The list includes classics like "Shanghai Express," "Hell’s Angels," "Breakfast at Tiffany’s" and "The King and I."
Tickets have just gone on sale and the theater says that if the program is successful, they’ll keep it going with even more films for the rest of the year.
Grauman’s opened in 1927. It's known as the place where Hollywood superstars go to leave their handprints and footprints in cement. Everyone from Gloria Swanson to Kobe Bryant has done it.
