Former USC student says cheating scandal is 'infuriating'
The college admissions scandal continues to reverberate around local schools like USC. Students who didn’t have a lot of resources growing up but managed to get into the school are feeling particularly burned. Students say said the scandal cheapens the value of their USC degree and undermines their sacrifices.
Former USC grad student Marquisha Henderson said it was hard to keep quiet after hearing about the cheating scandal. As a South LA kid, she went through an intense USC program called the Neighborhood Academic Initiative. Henderson says it was a huge commitment and sacrifice for a young kid - which makes this cheating scandal all the more frustrating.
