LA Election Day FAQ: Everything you need to know to vote (map)

Election day is here in Los Angeles. We've put together some answers to the most common questions voters may have, along with a few KPCC resources to help you out.

ON ELECTION DAY LOGISTICS
- When do the polls open? Close? Polls open at 7 a.m. and close at 8 p.m.
- Where are the nearest polls? Find your nearest Los Angeles county polling place here.
- Am I registered? Check if you are registered in the county of Los Angeles here.
- Can I take time off work to vote? According to state law, you are allowed up to two hours at the beginning or end of your shift to vote, on paid time.
- Who's on the ballot? You can build your own ballot with KPCC's own Voters Guide.
- How do I get there? If you need a ride to the polls, Yellow Cab will offer you a free trip, the L.A. Mayor's office says. Call 1-800-808-7293 and tell them the code word: "LA Vote"
