Expect Metro Expo Line delays up to 20 minutes this weekend due to repairs, maintenance
Travelers on Metro's Expo Line may experience delays of as much as 20 minutes over the weekend.
Service will be interrupted for repairs and maintenance starting at 9 p.m. Friday night. Rick Jager with Metro says there is a lot of work to do.
"Replacing and relocating some closed-circuit television cameras, making some adjustments to the power cable counterweights and some localized track work," Jager said. "And that work requires that the overhead wires that deliver power to the trains be shut down."
Buses will ferry passengers between any Expo stations that are offline. Expo Line trains will run between the 7th Street/Metro Center Station and the Expo/Sepulveda Station, with bus shuttles replacing the Expo Line between the Sepulveda and downtown Santa Monica stations.
Regular service will resume Monday. This is the second of two weekend closures on the Expo Line for repairs and maintenance.
