Dodgers on TV: How to watch the last 6 regular season games
The final six games of the Dodgers' regular season will be televised on KDOC after Time Warner Cable announced Monday it had reached a deal.
As KPCC's Ben Bergman has reported, legions of fans were blacked out after the launch of Sportsnet LA, which carries Dodgers games. Time Warner Cable has been the only major pay-TV distributor in the region that offers the channel, as negotiations with other providers stalled.
With Monday's announcement, the situation has changed. KDOC is an independent broadcast station carried by multiple cable, satellite and telco providers in Southern California and can also be received over the air with an antenna, according to a statement from the team.
As the Los Angeles Times reports, these final games will be critical:
The final six games, including a series against rival San Francisco Giants, could determine whether the Dodgers make the post-season playoffs and have a chance to win the World Series. The games also will be simulcast on the cable channel owned by the Dodgers, SportsNet LA.
