Dennis Hopper files for divorce from wife
Dennis Hopper filed for divorce from his wife, Victoria Hopper, after nearly 14 years of marriage.
Hopper, 73, brought his petition Thursday in Los Angeles Superior Court, citing irreconcilable differences as the reason for their separation.
The couple separated Tuesday, the petition stated. Hopper is seeking joint legal and physical custody of the couple's 6-year-old daughter, Galen.
The ailing actor was diagnosed with prostate cancer in October.
He has been in numerous iconic films, including "Easy Rider,'' "Apocalypse Now'' and "Rebel Without a Cause.'' Lately he has played a recurring character in the TV version of "Crash'' on Starz.
