DASH bus prices rise 10 cents, 6 bus routes eliminated
Changes in service of DASH buses will be affecting Monday commuters after prices went up 10 cents and six bus routes were eliminated, according to the Los Angeles Department of Transportation.
Effective Sunday, LA DOT eliminated six of its routes to curtail a budget shortfall. The eliminated routes were Central City East, Downtown Route C, Downtown Route DD, Hollywood/West Hollywood, Hyde Park Shuttle, and Werner Center routes.
Commuter Express buses following the 413, 430 and 575 routes were also cut.
Sunday service has also been eliminated for the Crenshaw, Highland Park/Eagle Rock, Lincoln Heights/Chinatown, and Midtown routes while several other routes reduced hour of service and frequency.
Commuters inconvenienced by the changes were asked to call (213, 310, 323, or 818) 808-2273.
