Cheaper Gas Or Better Roads? LA's $5 billion question
Proposition 6 on the November ballot would roll back California’s year-old gas tax and new vehicle fees. They are on track to add more than $5 billion a year to state and local budgets for road construction and transportation projects.
The battle over Prop 6 is likely to be among the top-spending campaigns. And it’s one of those topics that can induce friends to argue over whether it’s better to have cheaper gas or better roads.
