Camarillo High School sophomore arrested for alleged school shooting threat

A Camarillo High School sophomore was arrested for allegedly threatening to kill another student, carry out a shooting at the school and then kill himself, police said Friday.
A 15-year-old sophomore was making threats Thursday as the school's graduation ceremonies took place, according to a City of Camarillo Police Department press release.
The teenage boy was found by investigators at home with one of his parents, where he was cooperative and was taken into custody. Weapons were removed from the home.
The teen said he threatened another student but didn't plan to follow through on the threat. He was cited for making criminal threats, evaluated and taken for further mental health treatment.
