California lawmakers will try again in 2019 to expand Medi-Cal to all unauthorized immigrants
California lawmakers will take another swing in 2019 at extending Medi-Cal eligibility to anyone in the country illegally who meets the program's income qualifications. California has let kids and teens without legal status apply for Medi-Cal since 2016. In the new year, the legislature will take up two bills that would let unauthorized immigrants of any age apply for the low-income health program.
