California community colleges asked to help formerly incarcerated students find jobs
The California Community College Chancellor's Office has sent guidance recommending the state's 115 campuses put criminal checks toward the end of the job hiring process. The move is part of the statewide "ban the box" movement that seeks to improve ex-offenders's chances of getting jobs.
