Box truck hits hydrant outside 7-11
Firefighters called the Department of Water and Power early today about a sheared fire hydrant outside a West Los Angeles 7-Eleven, according to a dispatch supervisor.
The sheared hydrant was reported just after midnight at a 7-Eleven on Santa Monica Boulevard, said Los Angeles Fire Department Capt. Sean Hughes. A box truck struck the hydrant outside the store, a camera crew at the scene reported.
Firefighters called for a Water and Power crew to deal with repairs, Hughes said.
