The bomb squad is investigating a car at Second and LA streets in downtown LA and, out of caution, police are keeping people away from that area, LAPD spokeswoman Julie Sohn confirmed to KPCC.

Sohn says officers ran the car’s plates after seeing it at the intersection and discovered it was stolen. They then noticed something suspicious about it that led them to call the bomb squad.

Officer Jack Richter confirmed to KPCC that the investigation is still ongoing.
