Authorities search for inmate who escaped from Lancaster prison

Authorities are asking for the public's help in finding an inmate who walked away from a minimum security prison in Lancaster.
Jason Kohr, 36, had been serving a six-year term for vehicle theft, attempting to evade a peace officer while driving recklessly and second-degree burglary.
He was discovered missing at 9 p.m. on the night of on Saturday, Oct. 28 during a routine head-count at the Minimum-Support Facility at California State Prison-Los Angeles County.
He was last seen at the 4 p.m. count and during the evening meal.

Kohr is described as a 5'10" white male who weighs 187 pounds. He has hazel eyes and a shaved head.
He was scheduled to be released in July 2018.
Officials ask anyone who sees Kohr to call 911, other law enforcement or the watch commander at
the prison at 661-792-2000, extension 5551 or 6912.
