7 people treated, 8 cars destroyed after Disneyland parking fire
Seven people were treated for smoke inhalation Monday after a fire at Disneyland's Mickey and Friends parking structure damaged or destroyed at least eight vehicles, according to the Anaheim Police Department.
Foul play isn't suspected, but a cause for the fire is still investigation. The damage tally financially for the fire is $180,000, with eight vehicles hit with extensive damage and another "one to three" vehicles suffering minor damage, police said. The parking structure was evacuated for about three hours while smoke was cleared from the structure.
The people treated were Disney employees, four of whom here hospitalized with non life-threatening injuries, police said.
When units arrived to fight the 4:37 p.m. fire, they saw smoke and several flame-engulfed cars on the second level of the structure. Firefighters knocked down the blaze in about 30 minutes, authorities said.
