Just days before closing arguments are to be heard in the federal Prop 8 trial, hundreds of thousands will descend upon West Hollywood for L.A. Pride, now in its 40th year.
Events begin tonight with the free Dyke March at West Hollywood Park. On Saturday and Sunday, the main festival takes place with the culminating parade taking place on Sunday at 11 a.m. on Santa Monica Boulevard between Crescent Heights to Robertson Boulevard.
Whether or you're attending or not, West Hollywood's parking and traffic can be somewhat of a hot mess so plan ahead, taking note of festival parking locations and following this tip by the city of West Hollywood: "PERMIT PARKING WILL BE LIFTED CITY WIDE during the following dates and times: 7:00AM Saturday, June 12th - 7:00am Monday, June 14th." Meters will still be enforced.
