Overnight RV Parking Banned In Parts Of West And South LA

The Los Angeles City Council has voted to ban overnight RV parking along certain streets in West and South L.A.
The council voted 11-2 with councilmembers Hugo Soto-Martinez and Eunisses-Hernandez voting against the move.
Councilmembers Traci Park and Heather Hutt introduced the motion — they represent districts 11 and 10.
According to the motion, the ban would address the "increased problem" of oversized vehicles parked along certain streets that "constrict travel lanes, thereby creating dangerous situations."
This comes as the number of people living in RVs has exploded in recent years across L.A. city and county — up 31% countywide from 2020 to 2023, according to annual homeless counts.
What streets are affected
The overnight parking ban will take place on these streets:
- Southside of Centinela Avenue between Wooster Avenue and La Tijera Boulevard;
- Lucille Avenue between Glencoe Avenue and Louella Avenue;
- North side of Washington Place between Wasatch Avenue and Centinela Avenue;
- Stoner Avenue between Gateway Boulevard and the Santa Monica (10) Freeway;
- Crescent Park West between Crescent Park East;
- Millennium Drive between Veranda Way and Runway Lane;
- Runway Lane between Millennium Drive and Runway Road;
- Runway Road between Runway Lane and Dawn Creek;
- Dawn Creek between Runway Road and Bluff Creek Drive;
- McConnell Avenue between Millenium Drive and Bluff Creek Drive;
- Bluff Creek Drive between 12657 Bluff Creek Drive and Village Drive.
The Department of Transportation will also install signs prohibiting early-morning RV parking in the 10th District on these streets:
- Boden Street between Clyde Avenue and Carmona Avenue.
- West Boulevard overpass bridge between W. Adams Boulevard and W. 23rd Street.
- W. 25th Street between Wellington Road and S. Victoria Avenue.
