How To Apply For Section 8 Housing Vouchers In Ventura County
The Section 8 Voucher Payment Standard is the most the housing authority can pay to help a family with rent.

Applications for Ventura County’s Section 8 Housing Choice Voucher Program open on Tuesday, Jan/ 30 until Feb. 13. The program is aimed at very low income households.
How it works: Instead of on a first come, first serve basis, applicants will be placed on a waitlist via a random lottery. Officials say resources are limited and only 3,000 applications will be selected via the lottery.
Eligibility: The current income limit to be eligible for Section 8 federal funding is an annual income of $46,500 for a single person or $66,400 for a family of four or $82,350 for a family of seven. To check the income limit for your family size, click here.

The application requires an email address and applicants should have the name, DOB and Social Security number for each member of their household ready plus the annual household income amount.
