How To Apply For Section 8 Housing Vouchers In Ventura County

Applications for Ventura County’s Section 8 Housing Choice Voucher Program open on Tuesday, Jan/ 30 until Feb. 13. The program is aimed at very low income households.
How it works: Instead of on a first come, first serve basis, applicants will be placed on a waitlist via a random lottery. Officials say resources are limited and only 3,000 applications will be selected via the lottery.
Eligibility: The current income limit to be eligible for Section 8 federal funding is an annual income of $46,500 for a single person or $66,400 for a family of four or $82,350 for a family of seven. To check the income limit for your family size, click here.
