Canter's & Ice Cream Sandwich Could Live in Perfect Harmony

We like a good cause here at LAist, and we also like a good sweet treat. So when we heard that one of our own was on a mission to get a creation of his on the menu at venerable LA deli institution Canter's we thought we'd pitch in and offer our help. Zack Jerome, the LAist sports writer who also is the man behind the Lost Angeles blog, has come up with the "Zack and White," an aptly-named assemblage using Canter's Black and White cookies and an ice cream filling. So where do you come in? Well: "If enough people request the sandwich, Canter’s has promised Zack the holy foodie blog grail: a spot on their menu," explains "Zack and White" supporter Los Anjealous. Their take on the ice cream and cookie sandwich: "It’s fucking brilliant." Well, there you go. So in the spirit of good eats and good blogs, if you want to help out, order a "Zack and White" at Canter's, or at least let them know you want it on their menu:
