Our June member drive is live: protect this resource!
Right now, we need your help during our short June member drive to keep the local news you read here every day going. This has been a challenging year, but with your help, we can get one step closer to closing our budget gap. Today, put a dollar value on the trustworthy reporting you rely on all year long. We can't hold those in power accountable and uplift voices from the community without your partnership.

If you missed out on the last Wine Rave—the classiest of raves—there's going to be another one, this time in Chinatown on Friday.Chinatown is full of gems (we're personally big fans of Melody Lounge). The next Wine Rave takes place at a restaurant called Golden Dragon, and event organizers are using the hashtag #onlywineforgives. This is a reference to the not at all cheery, set-in-Thailand, Ryan Gosling film Only God Forgives, according to Eater LA, and they're going for an "edgier" feel this time.

Wine Rave is also using the more uplifting hashtag #wineshotz4eva, which will be offered alongside the wine cocktails and Tsingtao beer.

The rave starts at 10 p.m. Golden Dragon is cash only.
