What, No Orange Crocs? Mario Batali Launches Foursquare Badge, Deals at Local Restaurants
When you "check in" to Osteria Mozza in Los Angeles, you know co-owner Chef Mario Batali is in the house when his orange crocs are on the wall by the door. Now, when you are in the house at the Mozza restaurants, the house will know you are there if you check in on Foursquare, and you can get a badge and some specials for your technological tendencies.
"Having just joined Foursquare myself this month, I have seen the power and the excitement generated by the huge foursquare fan base," says Batali of the just-announced partnership. In L.A., diners who "follow" the famous chefon Foursquare can check-in at Mozza2Go, Pizzeria Mozza, and Osteria Mozza to unlock the specials being offered, and get the official Batali badge. In total, the partnership covers all 15 restaurants of Batali's in L.A., Las Vegas, and New York.
