Say what you will about the food truck trend jumping the shark, just don't stand between a fan of Panda Express and free orange chicken.

Lovers of the fluorescent-hued, crispy nuggets from Panda Express will have a chance to chow down to their heart's content in L.A. before the fast food giant takes their truck nationwide. The orange chicken madness goes down on August 22nd at KCRW's Chinatown Summer Nights when devotees can devour free samples at the "orange chicken lounge" and enjoy other fun, orange-chicken-related activities. After the event the truck will then begin a cross-country road trip, according to the L.A. Times.

In addition to enjoying the free orange chicken along with white rice and a Pepsi, Panda compatriots at the special lounge can also take part in a trivia game and a chopstick challenge. Though, nobody seems to know what that challenge entails. There will also be a orange chicken chef challenge, in which four or five to-be-named chefs will compete by making their own dishes using the orange chicken. The champ will be crowned by a panel of media and judges. Fingers crossed.

Update (8/15): You can now follow the adventures of the Orange Chicken Love truck on their cross-country tour with this map and pick up all of the orange chicken-themed swag you want at their online shop. Orange Chicken tote bags, anyone?
