We love Highland Park's Good Girl Dinette, and and we love their sweets. The restaurant is holding their own Mid-Autumn Moon Festival this Sunday, September 30, and in addition to the traditional mooncakes, they'll have a roster of other autumnal treats on the menu, and late hours to make the most of your moon-gazing.Other sweets on the menu, besides mooncakes, include:

- chilled almond jellies with grapefruit syrup
- peach & plum pies
- salted sables (a perfect accompaniment for tea)
- Mother Moo ice creams

The desserts can round out a tasty meal of farm-fresh Vietnamese-American comfort fare. Plus they will stay open until 11 so you can sup on the sky, too.

P.S. You can celebrate the Mid-Autumn Moon Festival Saturday, too, in Chinatown.
