We need to hear from you.
Today, put a dollar value on the trustworthy reporting you rely on all year long. The local news you read here every day is crafted for you, but right now, we need your help to keep it going. In these uncertain times, your support is even more important. We can't hold those in power accountable and uplift voices from the community without your partnership. Thank you.

How 'bout that local sports team?

They are called the Los Angeles Rams and they have won numerous contests of strength, speed, skill and head-butting, propelling themselves into the top gladiatorial competition of our age, an event known as Super Bowl LIII.

Do not be confused. This "super bowl" -- which occurs on Sunday, February 3 -- has little to do with dishware, just as American "football" does not feature much in the way of kicking balls.

Nevertheless, as fans of The Sporting, we are entitled to certain inalienable rights, which, for the purposes of this story, will be known as "promotions," "deals" or "freebies."
