The James Beard Foundation Restaurant and Chef Nominees are out, and three SoCal spots are moving onto the finalist round to compete for the top prize in Chicago this summer.
Who's From SoCal:
- Best chef in California: Chef Lord Maynard Llera of Kuya Lord in Melrose
- Outstanding Bakery: Gusto Bread in Long Beach
- Outstanding Wine and Other Beverages: Strong Water Tavern in Anaheim
What's next: From the finalist list, winners from each category will be picked and announced at a ceremony in Chicago on June 10.
