Does the Apple Pan Serve the BEST Burger in America?

Forget looking for the best burger in Los Angeles--how about the best burger in America?! And, L.A., we need look no further than the classic Apple Pan, whose burger National Geographic has deemed top in the nation.
The list is very New York and San Francisco-centric, though, which leaves most of the country flown over. Here's what NG says about the Apple Pan in their write up (available in their publication, "The Ten Best of Everything,"):
Counter seating is the only kind available at this Westside joint. The signature steak burger is a juicy, medium-thick patty on a seedless bun piled high with all the fixings-mayo, sweet relish, crunchy dill pickles, crisp iceberg lettuce, and a slice of half- melted Tillamook cheddar. For an extra wallop, the hickory burger comes drenched in barbecue sauce. Come prepared to get messy. And leave room for apple pie.
Okay burger fans, is this war or right on? Is the Apple Pan really the BEST burger in the whole damn U-S of A?
