How Game Are You? Would You Eat a Bear Burger?

The restaurant at the Standard in DTLA has been running a "Burger of the Week" special, and Chef Micah Fields isn't shy to put some unusual meats between two buns. Today is the end of their Colorado Lamb Burger week, but starting on Monday, and until the 18th, diners can order a "Smokey the Bear" burger. Yep. Bear.
NBC's The Feast got more info on the promo details that made the email rounds, and explained that Smokey "might end up being comprised of a 'bear blend' with bear, venison and elk."
Fields also likened the weekly burger menu change to musician Jay-Z's penchant for changing styles. And there are long range plans for the burger offerings: "This menu will continually change, on a weekly basis, for the rest of the year, and then Chef Fields plans to publish a book of the burgers," Feast found out.
After the bear burger, it's time to head out of the woods and into the sea: March 21-25 is Shrimp Burger week.
