Truth matters. Community matters. Your support makes both possible. LAist is one of the few places where news remains independent and free from political and corporate influence. Stand up for truth and for LAist. Make your year-end tax-deductible gift now.

Before you set your DVR to record Chef Ludo Lefebvre's new Sundance Channel show about taking his pop-up restaurant adventure on the road around the country, set yourself a reminder to make a reservation for his L.A. LudoBites pop-up, which, as announced yesterday, returns to DTLA's Gram & Papa's August 3 to September 10th.

The site of two previous pop-up rounds (4.0 and 5.0, for those who are keeping tabs), this 7th version of the occasional restaurant, dubbed 007, is making the most, and more, of a great space that has proven successful. Lefebvre and the LudoBites team say that the space--a popular lunchtime sandwich spot by day--is somewhere they "really feel at home."

Reservations will open on July 14th; in the meantime, you can follow Ludo and his equally charming restaurant manager maven wife, Krissy, on Twitter, or on Facebook, to get updates about the coming pop-up. See you at 007!

You come to LAist because you want independent reporting and trustworthy local information. Our newsroom doesn’t answer to shareholders looking to turn a profit. Instead, we answer to you and our connected community. We are free to tell the full truth, to hold power to account without fear or favor, and to follow facts wherever they lead. Our only loyalty is to our audiences and our mission: to inform, engage, and strengthen our community.

Right now, LAist has lost $1.7M in annual funding due to Congress clawing back money already approved. The support we receive before year-end will determine how fully our newsroom can continue informing, serving, and strengthening Southern California.
